Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Trading Notes ("the Service"), a personal trading journal with an optional public community. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Trading Notes includes a public, crypto-focused social community and is not directed at minors.

2. Your account

  • One account per person. Automated account creation, bots, and scripted sign-ups are not allowed.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.

3. What you may not do

Trading Notes is a personal journal and public discussion board — it is not a signals service. You agree not to:

  • Sell, advertise, or solicit paid trading "signals," copy-trading services, or guaranteed-return schemes;
  • Impersonate another person, brand, or exchange;
  • Upload malware, or attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service's data or APIs;
  • Send unsolicited or abusive direct messages, or use direct messages to advertise outside services or channels;
  • Post content containing promotional links to third-party chat apps (Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, etc.), link shorteners used to disguise such links, or phone numbers soliciting off-platform contact — this content is blocked automatically and repeated attempts may result in suspension.

We may suspend or terminate access for violating any of the above, without prior notice in serious cases (e.g. scams, malware, harassment).

4. Subscriptions (Premium)

  • Premium is billed at $10/mo or $79/yr, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • You can cancel anytime; your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Downgrading from Premium to Free never deletes your existing trades — it only limits new journal entries to the Free plan's 100 trades/month cap going forward.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the trades, comments, and posts you create. By posting, you grant Trading Notes a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content as part of operating the Service (for example, showing a shared trade on the public Show Trade feed).

6. No investment advice

Trading Notes is a journaling and discussion tool. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, or tax advice, and no user-generated content (including official-looking posts) is a recommendation to buy or sell any asset. See our Disclaimer for details.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trading Notes and its operators are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any content posted by other users.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law
