Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-09-11

This Privacy Policy explains what information Trading Notes collects, why, and how you can request its deletion.

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email address and authentication details.
  • Profile data: display name, username, bio, avatar, and any social links you choose to add.
  • Journal data: the trades, notes, tags, and images you create in your journal, and anything you post publicly (comments, Community posts, direct messages).
  • Payment data: if you subscribe to Premium, Stripe processes your payment and we store only a subscription/customer identifier — we never see or store your raw card number.

2. Why we collect it

To provide the Service: authenticate you, save and display your journal, run the Community/Show Trade features, process Premium subscriptions, enforce these policies (e.g. rate limits, content moderation), and communicate with you about your account.

3. Who processes it

We use a small number of infrastructure processors to run the Service:

  • Our hosting/database provider (stores your account, journal, and content data);
  • Stripe (processes Premium payments; see Stripe's own privacy policy for how it handles payment data).

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. How long we keep it

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion (see below).

5. Cookies & sessions

We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (like your chosen language). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

6. Your rights

You can update most of your profile and journal data yourself in Settings. To request a full export or deletion of your account and data, email legal@tradingnotes.app from the address on your account.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision.
